Prost! America's Oktoberfest
in Zinzinnati USA

It’s well known that Munich is the birthplace of Oktoberfest, but did you know that the preeminent Oktoberfest celebration outside of Bavaria is right here in Cincinnati, err, Zinzinnati? Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati, presented by Sam Adams, has long been the nation’s largest Oktoberfest celebration, and the second largest in the world outside of Munich. On Sept. 17, 18 and 19, Cincinnati will be transformed into Zinzinnati USA as it hosts the 35th Annual "America’s Oktoberfest." More than half-a-million herren und frauen will converge on a six-block area to eat, sing, mingle, sport lederhosen, listen to polka music, try to speak German and perform the Chicken Dance.
The 35th Annual Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati is adding a number of exciting new elements in addition to maintaining beloved traditions such as the Gemuetlichkeit Games , the alpenhorns , polka music and the World’s Largest Chicken Dance - so many, in fact, it has been extended by another city block. Encompassing the parking lot next to the Millennium Hotel on the corner of Fifth and Race, this space will be home to Oktoberfest’s largest tent, the Partyzelt – a sports bar/beer garden sponsored by Time Warner Cable.
HYPE is back at Oktoberfest with it’s own private VIP party— the HYPE Haus Party . Be a part of the exclusive party Saturday, September 18 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Time Warner Cable Partyzelt fest tent located at 5th and Race streets. The HYPE Haus Party will feature beer samplings, a light buffet of German food, a private cash bar, reserved seating, special entertainment, access in and out of the VIP area all evening long and the full Oktoberfest experience.
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati USA runs 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Special preview hours are Friday, noon-midnight on Fountain Square only. Admission is free.
