What is Oktoberfest Zinzinnati?
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, presented by Samuel Adams, is America’s largest Oktoberfest, happening September 19-21, 2014 in downtown Zinzinnati with German food, live music, dancing and more.
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the country, is held along Fifth Street in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and showcases the rich German heritage of Southwest Ohio, as well as tasty samples of German-style music, food and beer. First held in 1976, the event has grown to be America's largest Oktoberfest with more than 500,000 people attending each year. More Oktoberfest history.
The event kicks off Friday, September 19th at noon with the Running of the Wieners, and opens fully with the Gemuetlichkeit [Guh-MUT-le-kite] or Goodwill Games at 1:00 p.m. More features.
When do we eat? According to the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, grazing gourmets created the following Statistiken with their gluttonous consumption at a previous Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati. These Zahlen were gleaned from an extensive survey of Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati food vendors:
